HEC Grading Policy Explained

HEC provides a framework. Universities set their own tables, probation rules, and retake rules inside that framework.

What HEC mandates

HEC uses a 4.0 scale framework and a 2.00 CGPA floor for undergraduate graduation in most universities. HEC does not publish an official GPA calculator, and there is no official national average CGPA.

What universities vary

Grade steps, percentage bands, relative vs absolute grading, probation bands, retake rules, and division mapping vary by university. That is why this site has one page per university with its own table.

What to check

Always confirm your department handbook for the grade table, probation rule, retake rule, and graduation floor. This site is a planning tool, not an official transcript.
