How to Calculate GPA on a 5.0 Scale?
Short answer: Use the same weighted formula, but with 5.0 scale grade points. Quality points equal grade points times credit hours, GPA equals total quality points divided by total credit hours. Do not mix 4.0 and 5.0 points in one calculation. Convert first with the scale converter on this site.
Formula
GPA equals total quality points divided by total credit hours. CGPA equals total quality points across all semesters divided by total credit hours. Quality points for a course equal grade points times credit hours.
